Jorge Valdano Defends and Support Kaka

Ever since the media revealed that Ricardo Kaka was not 100% fit during World Cup, there were a lot of critics saying that he might put his health and career in danger since he should be taking a rest. But thankfully, not only us the fans who always give him the biggest supports, even the Real Madrid’s sporting director Jorge Valdano gives his full backing!

REAL CHEF VALDANO WON’T CRITICISE KAKA OVER INJURY
Real Madrid sporting director Jorge Valdano has leapt to the defence of midfielder Kaka, who is set to miss around three to four months of the new season after undergoing an operation to repair a meniscus injury on Thursday.

• Injury could have ended career

Kaka linked up with Madrid in Los Angeles following an extended break due to his World Cup participation, but the Brazilian complained of pain in his knee and a routine medical examination confirmed a rupture in his left knee.

The player was sent to Belgium for arthroscopic surgery and the doctor overseeing the procedure, Marc Martens, claimed Kaka put his career in danger by playing at the World Cup. Martens also said Kaka had experienced pain in South Africa and the player has been criticised for failing to notify Madrid of his injury prior to his return.

Valdano, however, has rejected that criticism and revealed the player saw specialists during his holiday in an attempt to get to the bottom of his injury problems.

“We are very grateful for the effort he made in the summer to go and see several different specialists in Sao Paulo to find an explanation for the problems he was having in his left knee,” Valdano told reporters.

Kaka for FIFA 11 Videos

For those of you who loves Kaka and play football video games, great news for you! Our man will be featured on the cover of FIFA 11, as well as its main trailer. Check out the 30 seconds teaser trailer and special message from him below.

EA Sports has confirmed FIFA 11 with the developer promising to “redefine player authenticity.”

Yesterday we detailed the first pieces of information regarding the next title in the award winning series and now EA Sports has explained the new features in more detail.

The player personality model, which will give players unique traits and behaviour styles on the pitch has been named Personality+ and will use 36 attributes and 57 traits to create a world of unique players.

“Personality+ is the evolution of individual distinctiveness that sees a footballer’s abilities on the pitch mirrored authentically in our game, creating individual personalities in FIFA 11,” said executive producer Kaz Makita.

Real Madrid and Brazil’s Kaka will produce “crisp, creative poasses” while the likes of center back Giorgio Chiellini will hassle strikers and anticipate when to put his body on the line to block a shot.

He added, “We have reached a level of sophistication within our game engine where footballers in our game will behave and perform as true individuals.”

One of the main additions to FIFA 11 is the brand new passing mechanic, which rewards and punishes players depending on how much power and placement they try to put on a pass.

The control pad will determine the majority of the passing accuracy while variables such as the urgency of a pass and the player’s skill all produce different outcomes.

FIFA 11 has so far been confirmed for Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 and will launch this fall.

Kaka’s Surgery Goes Well

Real Madrid won over Club America in the friendly match, but unfortunately our man Ricardo Kaka had to do a knee surgery, as the Real Madrid’s official site reported.

The operation performed on the left knee of Real Madrid C. F.’s Ricardo Izecson Dos Santos Leite ‘Kaka’ by Dr. Marc Martens at Antwerp’s AZ Monica Hospital was a success.

The arthroscopic surgery confirmed an injury to the left meniscus with minimal inflammation of the cartilage. The player is expected to miss three to four months.

It is sad that he’ll be not playing for the team in four months :’( but I’m glad to hear that he passed the surgery very well. All we have to do now is just praying all the best for him so he can recover very soon and see him back on the pitch again. Get well soon dear Maestro!

Training Photos in UCLA

As Ricky tweeted yesterday, he and his Real Madrid team mates have arrived in UCLA, Los Angeles for a training session. I think he’s still on recovery since he wasn’t participating in training outdoor, but he looks just fine, talking with the new captain Iker Casillas. Enjoy the photos!

Los Angeles Training Photos

Here they are, photos of Ricardo Kaka at the training session in Los Angeles! Real Madrid will play friendly matches against Club America in August 4, and LA Galaxy in August 7. Kaka didn’t actually participate at the training session, as the Real Madrid official site confirmed that he was training indoor at the gym. There’s no official statement either about whether he will play for the match since Kaka is not 100% fit at the moment.

Get well soon, Ricky! Hope you’ll join your team mates for the friendly match tomorrow! =)
